The resistor pack is a module for a set of series resitors that BMW uses in several older models and the diagnosis for failure was the fan would only blow on the highest setting. The E90 blower has a "motor contoller", P/N 64119222072, that retail is $115, or $92 at Tischer BMW. The blower motor is closer to $180 retail.

Sure, 270 oil temp is hot, but the oil cooler gets no help from the radiator fan. These engines are designed to run a lot hotter than previous generations for 2 reasons: aluminum block sheds heat faster than older cast iron engines, and fuel efficiency. Hotter engine = better fuel efficiency.
First you must figure out electrical wiring digrum of the blower motor circuit. Check FSR fuse which is inside the passenger side (Right hand drive) of the g

A search on this forum showed that others have had the same. recommendations were 1) do not turn on heater for 10-15 seconds after car starts. 2) replace the fuse for the heater. might work with your seats as well.
just out of curiosity, where is the heater control valve located on the 2006 e90 bmw 325i? i took off the cabin filter and frame but I could not find it. if this vehicle has a heater control valve, they do a good job of hiding it.
Anyway I could have a blown HG sure but I wanted to bleed system to make sure no air in system first because if heater isn't working then there is still air in system. So followed instructions. Press key fob into ignition, turn on ignition, don't touch brake, turn heater temp to full, fan speed to 1 and press /hold accelerator pedal for 10 seconds.
